Dieting and exercising and not seeing results? You could have a hormone imbalance.

If you’re like most of the women who walk through our doors, you’ve tried everything to lose weight. You’re eating right, working out at the gym faithfully and yet, the scale isn’t moving.

You try eating less, swear off carbs, and increase your exercise – only to be left feeling stressed out, burnt out, and maybe feeling like nothing is working.

What’s worse, you might also not be sleeping well, your mood is all over the place, your focus is cloudy, or you’re snapping at your kids or husband, and don’t know why.

So, you go to your doctor who might tell you, “It’s just your age,” or “This is a normal part of life.” Maybe you are recommended medications to help you lose weight, birth control to help your PMS, synthetic prescriptions to help your hot flashes, or antidepressants to help your mood and anxiety – all which come with a long list of negative side effects.

But you know your body. You know something is “off,” and you want to take a more natural approach to lose weight and feel like yourself again, but you don’t know where to start. Well, you’ve come to the right place.

Perimenopause and Menopause Symptoms

But before we share how the BeBalanced approach can not only help you to lose and average of 15-21 pounds in 30 days naturally, while improving your mood, sleep, energy, hot flashes, and more – let’s uncover why some women, especially over 40, struggle to lose weight on traditional diet and exercise plans.

Looking for a natural solution to lose perimenopausal weight gain?

Hormones that impact your weight

Hormones impact everything in your body, including your weight. Hormones send signals to your body, telling it what to do and how to function. Every aspect of your metabolism is regulated by hormones. So, when it comes to your weight, no matter how much you exercise or what you eat, if your hormones are out of balance, losing weight will be a struggle.

Key hormones that impact your weight

If your hormones are out of balance in your body – mainly progesterone, estrogen, cortisol, and insulin – losing weight will be nearly impossible even when following a traditional keto, low carb, or reduced calorie diet. The culprit… STRESS.

Like most Americans, you are bombarded with stress daily. Stress from work, finances, a busy family life – the list goes on and on. Not only does stress impact your mental well-being, but it can also wreak havoc on your hormones, throwing them out of balance.

Your body treats stress as a threat and tries to protect you. When your body perceives a threat, such as stress, your brain sets off an alarm prompting your adrenal glands to produce a flood of hormones, specifically cortisol.

Cortisol increases sugars (glucose) in the bloodstream and curbs functions in the body that it deems unnecessary in a stressful situation. Namly, your immune system, digestion, and you guessed it – your metabolism.

What’s worse, under chronic or constant stress, your body cannot keep up with the demand to produce cortisol. As a result, your body will begin to steal the hormone progesterone (your fat burning hormone) to convert it to cortisol. When this happens, you end up with an imbalance between progesterone and estrogen, also known as estrogen dominance. When estrogen is dominant, symptoms like mood swings, headaches, anxiety, sleep issues, low energy, and stubborn weight, are likely to occur.

Not only that, if a woman is estrogen dominant, the extra estrogen in her bloodstream, not balanced by progesterone, will then stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin even without eating any sugar or carbohydrates! When insulin is in the bloodstream, it is nearly impossible for your body to burn fat efficiently, regardless of what you eat. This is because insulin is a fat-storing hormone. It’s trying to keep you alive but is sabotaging your weight loss goals.

Aside from the traditional forms of stress we experience daily, there are other sources of stress that can impact your ability to lose weight.

Sources of stress you might not think of include:

  • Overexercising – or the wrong type of exercise for your body
  • Processed foods
  • Chemicals in your beauty and household products
  • Artificial lights
  • Eating foods (even healthy foods) that your body is sensitive to
  • Pain in the body/Inflammation
  • Poor gut health
  • Lack of sleep

For many of us, this goes against what we’ve been taught. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “No pain, no gain.” We’ve been conditioned to believe that if we exercise more, exercise harder, or eat less, that we will see results. Understanding that this is stressful to your body is a key step to helping your body become balanced and lose weight for good.

How BeBalanced can help you lose perimenopause weight gain

Natural Hormone Balancing – The BeBalanced Approach to weight loss

The BeBalanced, Becoming Balanced weight loss and hormone balancing program is unlike any traditional weight loss program.

  • Instead of intense exercise, we focus on stress management tools and practices to lower cortisol levels.
  • Instead of counting calories or points, we promote a whole foods diet specifically designed to help you understand what foods work best for your body and what foods don’t.
  • Instead of synthetic ingredients or medications, we utilize natural supplementation to help promote gut heath, detoxification, metabolism support, and overall hormone balance.
  • Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we create custom programs to meet your specific needs and goals.
  • Instead of doing it on your own, we provide one-on-one coaching and continual support.
  • Instead of feeling frustrated when the scale isn’t moving, our clients lose an average of 15-21 pounds in the first 30 days of our program.
  • Instead of offering a weight loss program with no strategy to keep the weight off, we provide a strategic protocol to help you not only keep the weight off but also keep hormone imbalances symptoms at bay for good.
  • Instead of only focusing on weight, our approach will help improve your mood, sleep, energy, hot flashes, libido, and so much more.

We know that by balancing your hormones naturally, we treat the root cause of stubborn weight, so you see and feel results quickly. When your hormones are in balance, you will finally be able to burn fat efficiently, your mood will stabilize, your sleep will deepen, your energy will increase, and your hot flashes, night sweats, and sexual health will improve dramatically – or often, entirely.

“In just one week, after joining BeBalanced I had dropped nearly 10 lbs. I mean that was crazy! I knew everything to do, I tried every diet out there, and nothing was working. I might have lost a pound here and there, sure, but it just came back. Can you imagine how excited I was to step on the scale every day and it just kept going down. I was amazed. On top of that, I started sleeping better, my energy was higher, I had more focus, and the bloating I was experiencing just disappeared.  just felt so much better overall, like I had gotten me back.” – Carrie Wightman Fitness Expert
